Biography:

Cary is a mental health therapist specializing in grief and loss, complex trauma, and self-esteem concerns. She provides services throughout the state of Colorado via both telehealth and in-person sessions. Additionally, Cary is a member of the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA).

Previously, she spent time supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigated grief, loss, and bereavement within a range of complex life circumstances at the Community Grief Center in Greeley, CO. During that time, Cary also contributed to the development of a group curriculum designed specifically for bereaved mothers.

At the core of her work is a deep commitment to compassionate, client-centered care. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Cary integrates her personal philosophy into her counseling style, emphasizing meaning-making, mindfulness, and thoughtful self-exploration. As a result, clients are encouraged to reflect on deeper questions of the human experience, including what it truly means to thrive and flourish.

In her practice, Cary supports individuals facing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, grief and loss, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and more. To do this effectively, she draws from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Attachment Theory, Existential Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy, and EMDR. Through this integrative approach, she helps clients build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and develop practical, supportive coping strategies.

Cary works with a wide range of ages, including elementary-aged children, pre-teens, teens, adults, and older adults (65+).
